Privacy
Most privacy policies exist to soften what a company collects. Ours is short because there isn't much to soften.
Who we are
Sqwig is a product of Learn Wise Solutions LLC, a Pennsylvania (USA) limited liability company. For the small amount of personal data described below (purchase and correspondence data), Learn Wise Solutions LLC is the data controller. Reach us at [email protected].
What the Sqwig component sends us
Nothing. The component makes no requests to Sqwig servers: not on load, not ever. Your license key is a signed token verified offline, in code, on the device; there is no license "ping" and no phone-home. The dictionary and spellcheck engine are static assets downloaded to the device and run locally. You can verify all of this yourself in your browser's network tab at any time.
What this website collects
- Usage analytics. We may use analytics software to better understand how this site is used. This concerns the marketing site only: the Sqwig component itself reports nothing, ever, as described above.
- Email you send us, and purchase records. There is no signup and no account to create. If you write to [email protected] we keep that correspondence; if you buy a license we keep the purchase record (name, email, and the application domain the key is issued for). Billing information is handled by Stripe, our payment processor.
What we never do
- We never receive, store, or process the text your users type into Sqwig.
- We never sell or share personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We never use tracking cookies on this site.
- We never train models on your users' content; we don't have it.
Service providers
We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run the business: hosting and content delivery (Cloudflare), and payments and billing (Stripe, acting as merchant of record for purchases). Each receives only what is necessary to perform its function. We do not use advertising or analytics networks that build profiles.
International transfers: we are a US-based company, and purchase and correspondence data is processed and stored in the United States. If you write to us from the EU/EEA, UK, or elsewhere, your correspondence is transferred to the US and protected as described in this policy.
Data retention and your rights
Correspondence is kept while it remains relevant to supporting you; purchase records are kept for the duration of your license term and thereafter only as long as legal, tax, and accounting obligations require, then deleted. To exercise your privacy rights (access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of your personal data), email [email protected]; that one address is the mechanism for all of them, and we respond within the timelines your jurisdiction requires. If you are in a jurisdiction with specific privacy rights (such as the EU/EEA, UK, or California), those rights apply and we will honor them without requiring an account or a fee.
Changes
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above changes with it, and the current version is always the one published on this page. The core promise (user text never leaves the browser in the base product) is architectural, not aspirational; any future feature that transmits text (such as optional premium AI features) will be opt-in and clearly labeled before a single character is sent.
